Candle Care Instructions
Place your candle on a stable heat-resistant surface before burning.
Never burn your candle on or near anything that could catch fire. Keep away from drafts, water & moisture. If burning a collection of candles together, position them apart to prevent uneven burning.
Always ensure your candles wicks are trimmed to 5mm before each burn.
A wick that’s too long will smoke and burn faster, while a wick that’s too short won’t burn as well. A beautiful even burn is all about balance.
Maintain regular trimming to help keep wick ‘mushrooming’ at bay.
When you first burn your candle, allow the wax to pool evenly to the edge of the vessel. This will ensure an even burn and maximum fragrance delivery.
Let your candle cool before relighting, and before recutting the wick.
never burn your candle for longer than four hours.
Never leave a burning candle unattended. Ensure candle is completely extinguished before leaving the room.
Keep your candle out of reach of children and pets.
Do not touch your burning candle or move it when the wax is liquid.
Keep your candles away from direct sunlight and other heat sources. A candle left in direct sunlight may lose its scent and discolour.
If your candle is creating an uneven burn, simply adjust the wick back to the centre of the jar, or closer to the side that needs more heat.
If black discolouration occurs inside the jar, simply wipe away with a damp cloth.
It’s normal for the soy wax to change in colour and develop a subtly dusty layer over time. This won’t affect the burn or scent of your beloved candles.
Do not allow your candle to burn to the very base of the vessel. The candle should not be burnt anymore when there is 10mm of solid wax left at the base.
When the candle can no longer be burned, remove the residue wax by placing the vessel in hot water. Once wax is softened remove, avoid putting wax down the sink. Your vessel can now play a useful role in your home. Happy repurposing.
